Hand-knotted 12-foot cotton fiber art installation
These monumental spiral rope sculptures are hand-knotted from substantial natural cotton twisted rope. At 12 feet long, they transform the familiar language of macramé and lanyard knotting into a bold, architectural fiber-art installation.
Each hanging is built around oversized spiral knots, creating a continuous helix with dramatic volume, texture, and movement. The dense twisted cotton rope gives the sculpture a distinctly tactile, sculptural presence: soft in material, yet visually powerful and physically substantial. The largest size measures approximately 15 inches wide, making it an impactful statement work for a double-height wall, stairwell, entryway, hospitality setting, gallery, retail interior, or large residential space.
Rather than functioning as conventional wall décor, these pieces are intended to occupy space with the scale and presence of a large-scale sculptures. Their natural unbleached cotton tone allows the form, shadow, and material texture to remain central.
